Mission

The mission of the ULI Los Angeles Young Leaders Group (YLG) is to create opportunities for young professionals to develop skills and build relationships that will help them advance in their careers, to help foster a connection to, and an understanding of, thoughtful land use and development practices, and to build a desire to remain active in the Los Angeles District Council and ULI National after they pass the Young Leader age threshold.The Los Angeles District Council has over 2,000 members, over 900 of which are under the age of thirty-five and fall into the category of Young Leaders.

City of Los Angeles Fellowship Opportunity

The City of Los Angeles is developing a special program that will focus on hiring a group of 10-15 young professionals who have the necessary skills and experience to help the City solve challenges in the area of recruiting new businesses and retaining current businesses within the City of LA.

They are looking for highly motivated and energetic young professionals that will work on a core team and will be dealing with the highest levels of city leadership in order to make a change in the way our city is run and the reputation it holds with businesses. This commitment will be for 12-18 month period and is an exceptional opportunity for a young professional to broaden their exposure and develop their experiences working with challenging issues and senior leaders.

Applications are due by Monday, March 15, 2010.
