USC Ross Minority Program 2009 Summer Session

The USC Ross Minority Program in Real Estate is currently recruiting students for its 2009 Summer Session. The Ross Minority Program in Real Estate is a technical training program in real estate finance and development with an emphasis on revitalizing traditionally underserved communities. The vision is to increase development capacity among minority communities and people interested in working these communities.
Taught in an intensive format, the Ross Minority Program in Real Estate is designed to provide real estate practitioners, non-profits and community leaders, public sector decision makers, and entrepreneurs with the skills and expertise to influence the redevelopment process. The coursework is practical, relevant and up-to-date with current real estate market trends. Students are taught the fundamentals of real estate economics, finance and development during the first half of the session. In the second half of the session, students are placed into teams and challenged with the task of analyzing the highest and best use of real site. Students must present a financial feasibility plan, market analysis, and a site before a group of adjudicators, typically consisting of developers, bankers and faculty members. Students leave the program with an understanding of the development process as well as access to a substantial network in the commercial real estate industry. The summer program will take place June 8-19th. Applications are currently being accepted. If you are seeking financial aid, please apply immediately.
